The Big One

Alright, let's do this.

Saturday

Saturday was the coolest day ever. It was Star Wars Weekend at Disney and also my birthday present. I met a lot of cool and ridiculously nerdy people. Ermm..not cool and nerdy, but either cool or nerdy. Anyways, this is how my day went. (I like the chronological way cause it's easier for me to remember everything.

Alright, I woke up at 5. On a Saturday. I was a zombie. I got in the car, plugged my iPod into my ears and was out. With a box of donuts on my lap, haha. The drive went smoothly, obviously. I was asleep the whole time. So we got to Orlando, found our firend's house without a problem (he gave us some free passes cause he's awesome), and got to Disney at 8:30. Now, a really cool part of Star Wars Weekend is there are actors from the movies. That weekend they had David Prowse (Darth Vader), Jeremy Bulloch (Jango/Boba Fett), Matt Lanter (voice of Anakin Skywalker in the cartoon), a lady whose name I forget (the voice of Anakin's apprentice in the cartoon), and Jay "Hawaiian name" (Captain Typho). Disney had meet and greet passes available at 8:15. I was hoping we would be able to get them. Alas, they were gone at 8:20, 10 minutes before I got there. It was ok though. I didn't really expect to get one.

Ok, so we buy the rest of the passes and stand outside the entrance gates. On top of the gates are some Stormtroopers. Lmfao, they were hilarious. They pointed out some tourists in horrible clothes and talked about how everyone was taking pictures. "It must be some kind of ritual" "Yeah, let's do it back" Omg, I was almost on the ground in laughter.

Then the gates opened and we went in. First up was the Tower of Terror. Nolan and Cassie chickened out, so Kyle and I went. It was good. I was out of the seat for most of it, lol. Oh, but before that, we picked up Fast Passes for the Rockin' Rollercoaster, my favorite rollercoaster in any Disney park. After the Tower of Terror, we went over to where the evil characters from Star Wars were at. We saw Jango Fett and Darth Vader. We almost got in line for a picture with Darth Vader but it would have taken too long and our Fast Passes would excpire. So we went into Wicket's Warehouse (gift shop dedicated to Star Wars) and looked around. I got an awesome book: Star Wars: A Visual Guide (there'll be more on that later). I also got a Star Wars Weekend shirt that'll I'll wear forever. After spending time in Wicket's Warehouse, we went over to the Rockin' Rollercoaster cause it was time for some Fast Pass action. And while we were in line for a short time, I had an awesome "that's waht she said" moment. The intercom lady came on and said "Guests with large packages that won't fit between their legs should leave their package in the hands of an associate/whatever a Disney employee is called". I looked at Kyle and was like "THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!!!" he didn't really know what I meant but he got the general gist of it. Also, I got to ride in the front row! It was pretty awesome.

After the ride, it was about time for the motorcade, the parade with all the Star Wars characters and guest actors. Unfortunately, I had to suffer through a High Schol Musical performance. Uhggg...it was horrible. But there was a funny moment when I realized that one of the singers was balding. I was like "Yup, definitely in high school. I totally believe it." After that horrible excuse for music was done, the awesome motorcade started. There were Jedi padawans (these adorable little kids in Jedi robes), Stormtroopers, and a whole bunch of people. It was really cool. I almso shit myself though when I saw David Prowse. The guy who played the scariest man in the universe was so old. But he still had that "I'm Darth Vader, bitch" aura. All in all, the motorcade was really cool, except when I almost got poked by a Tusken Raider's rifle. Oh, and Disney made a grave error. The people holding 501st Legion flags were Imperial navy officers. "Vader's Fist" does not pilot ships! They are Stormtroopers, goddamit! Sorry, I get really fired up over stuff like this.

After the motorcade, we went to get our picture taken with Darth Vader. We got really lucky too. Just as we reached Wicket's Warehouse, it started to pour. So good luck there. Sadly, we had to wait 2 hours in line. It wasn't that bad though; I hardly noticed. One thing I noticed though is that the Darth Vader suit must be really uncomfortable. He was taking 5 minute breaks every 20 minutes or so. But it was ok. I got my picture. And he signed my shirt! I love that shirt so much cause of that signature. Also, when Vader went on a break and we were at the very front of the line, some Stormtroopers came in and hilariosity ensued. One tried to go through my mom's camera bag, and she was like "don't you have a mother?! You don't go through your mother's bag!" And I said "Mom, technically he doesn't have a mother cause he's a clone". And another one took Nolan's squirt fan and a photographer sprayed him with it. Omfg, it was hilarious how he jumped back and aimed his rifle at it. lol, cause y'know..water is deadly... OHH! As we left Wicket's Warehouse, guess who we saw?! The actor who played Captain Typho! I was like "Hey, Captain Typho!" and SHOOK HIS HAND. It was AMAZING. But my mom didnt get a picture cause she had put her camera away and the whole thing took less than 5 seconds. =(

Anyways, after the picures, we went on another ride and had lunch. It was funny cause Cassie, Kyle, and Nolan didnt eat hardly any of their food so my mom and I had lunch for 5 people, XD. It was really good too. After lunch, the chilluns wanted to go to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. Again, it was good cause I got a chance to rest. After the kids were done playing, we went over to where the good characters were. We saw Chewbacca and an Ewok, and we rode Star Tours. Worst ride of the day cause every time something mildly exciting happened (like we went into hyperspace) at least 5 girls started screaming their heads off. It was retarded, no lie. It makes me hate the female sex.

After Star Tours, I seperated from the group to go back to Wicket's Warehouse for a book signing. (Remember that book from earlier?) Yeah, the author was there. He was a really cool guy too. He took at least 5 minutes with everybody and had conversations with them. And he wrote really cool thing in my book. On the front page, there's a picuter of a Stormtrooper and he wrote "This isn't the Tim we're looking for. Move along!" Rofl, it was funneh. I got my picture taken with him too (My mom and everybody had come back). When I got done with that, we went outside and there were a bunch of characters about! There was a couple Stormtroopers and some bounty hunters. I got my picture with a Stormtrooper. When I walked up to him to get my picture, I noticed we were about the same height and I couldnt help but say "Aren't you a bit short for a Stormtrooper?" =p. He just shook his rifle at me. My brother got him to sign his shirt which, again, was funny. The Stormtooper interrupted another one in the middle of taking a picture to give him his rifle. Then, the two of them went over to sign it and they were both crouched over it and I was laughing the whole time. Then we started to leave and this bounty hunter crept up behind Kyle. He had no clue! Soon, I just had to tell him to look behind him. The look on his face! Priceless.

After the bounty hunter incident, we were just walking figuring out what to do when we passed the Toy Story ride and everybody but me wanted to go on it. So I seperated from the group again and went over to the Rockin' Rollercoaster. I rode single rider and rode with a black kid who had never rode before. He asked if there were loops (there is) and I was like "Nooo..." Hehe, I'm a horrible person. After that, I went over to the Tower of Terror where I had the best line wait I've ever had. There were two girls, sisters, one blonde and one brunette. The blond was older and kept my attention more. It was pretty funny when I came up with my pink, flowery backpack (Yes, I know. It was pink and flowery. How I lived it down, I dunno) and the blonde was eying me. I was just like "Yeah, if you're wondering about the backpack, I'm very confident in my masculinity". From there, it just flowed naturally. I found out they're from Virginia and they're really nice. And the blonde was totally into me. Well, that or she was really embarassed to be seen with a guy wearing a pink backpack. Also, there was a really nice black family behind me who had somehow convinced their 3-year-old daughter that the Tower of Terror wasn't scary. Apparently, they didn't tell her the name of the ride cause that's a big clue.

After the Tower of Terror, I met with everybody again, we had ice cream, realized we were all exhausted and decided to call it quits. And so ended, the best day of my life. I'm really glad I have pctures to remember it by.

Sunday

Sunday was a pretty chill day. I went over to Tamir's house with Robby, Josh, and Landon to have a little good-bye get-together. Tamir is moving to Canada at the end of the end of the month, and I'm really sad to see him go. He's my first actual Jewish friend (from Israel no less!) and although we're constantly ribbing on each other, I consider him a really good friend. Pretty much, we just played Rock Band, Halo, and COD4. One thing about Tamir's house: he's got a really awesome sound system. Listening to Halo was awesome. The sound of an assault rifle was incredibly life-like. I've got to remeber to steal that when I help him move this month. (Not really, just kidding!)

End of School
(Sorry about no picture. I don't really feel like finding anything.)
So yesterday and today were my last days of school. Nothing spectacular. Just a whole bunch of no work. I'm kinda sad too though cause my French teacher is leaving....I really hope they re-hire her. It would really suck to have ANOTHER new French teacher for senior year. (Kind of like Defense Against the Dark Arts XD) Speaking of senior, I'm officially a senior now! The class of 2009 has graduated and it's time for 2010 to step up to the plate. God, I can hardly believe it. Me, a senior. My last year....

Also, a lot of kids are leaving IB. Gabe, Mike, Shipe, Brad, Dillan (I think) are all dropping out (of IB, not school, silly). Gabe is a good friend of mine and I'll be sad to see him go. I've still got Jacob, Landon, and Josh though. And V and Nick and Christina and Kim and a whole bunch others. We'll get through next year. It may not be pretty, but we'll do it, somehow.

Miscellaneous Stuff
So I've got some stuff to get off my chest. Most of it's random and non-important but I can think of one thing that is kinda important and I'll get that out of the way first.

I'm starting to crush on a girl again. Don't ask who; I'm not gonna tell you. But I'll give you a pretty big hint: our names are ridiculously similiar. To the point where we think one of us is being called but it's the other. I don't really know how much we have in common, or if there's really even a chance. But I kinda like her, and maybe she kinda likes me. Who knows? I can hope and dream.

Ok, seriousness aside, time for some goofy stuff. Land of the Lost came out over the weekend. I haven't saw it yet but maybe I'll see it this week. OH! That reminds me of what I'm doing this week. Tomorrow I'm going up to Gainesville. I'll be up there until Sunday, visiting UF, maybe gonna go down to Orlando and see UCF. Other than that, I have no clue what I'll be doing, lol. Hopefully, I'll still be able to post some quick posts if my iPod will hold out and where I'm staying has wi-fi.

Well, I guess that's it. The monster has been finished. Finally. All caught up. I got it done. Good night.
